From The North
I-79 Exit 99 at Buckhannon/Weston, WV, then Rt. 33 E to Harman, and Rt. 32 N to Canaan Valley. Best option: I-79 S to 68 E at Morgantown, I-68 E to Rt. 42 S at Friendsville, MD to 219 S to 32 S at Thomas, WV, then Rt. 32 S into Canaan Valley.

From the North & Northeast
From Northern Virginia via Winchester: 50 N (via 37 bypass) to SR 127 (changes to SR 29) Intersects Rt. 50 W. Follow Rt. 50 W to New Creek, Rt. 93 W to 32 S at Davis, WV.

From the East
From Baltimore and Washington, DC: 1-95 S to I-495 W to I-66, I-66 W to Strasburg, Rt. 55 W to Seneca Rocks. Rt. 33 W to Harman, then WV 32 N to Canaan Valley.

Alternate Routes to Canaan Valley:
From I-70 W to I-68 W at Hancock, MD. Follow I-68 W to 220 E at Cumberland, MD to Rt. 50 W at New Creek, WV to junction of Rt. 93 W to Davis, WV then Rt. 32 S to Canaan Valley. Also I-81 to Winchester Rt. 50 W to Rt. 93 W to Davis, and Rt. 32 S to Canaan Valley.

From Northern Virginia:
Route # I-66 west to Route # I-81S
Route # I-81 south to Route # 55 W
Route # 55 west into WV becomes Route # 48
Route # 48 to the end of construction
Left on Knobly Road - 3.2 miles
Right on Route WV # 42 becomes Route # 93 W - 7.1 miles
Route # 93 W to dead end
Left on Route # 32 South
Route # 32 South - 12.2 miles to Timberline Road
Left on Timberline Road - 2 miles to stop sign Right stop sign into ski lodge

From the West & Northwest
Take feeder highway to I-77 S to Parkersburg, Rt. 50 E to Clarksburg. Then I-79 S to Weston Exit 99, Rt. 33 from Elkins to Harman, then WV 32 N to Canaan Valley.

From the South
I-79 to Buckhannon/Weston, Exit 99, then 33 E to Elkins, WV. 33 into Harman, then Rt. 32 N to Canaan Valley.  

Please note that Timberline Resort is located on Timberline Road off of Route 32. Most online directions services do not recognize Timberline's address. When typing in your destination put in Timberline Four Seasons Resort as the location and Davis, WV 26260. Do not put in a street address, if it asks what county we are in Tucker County. Once your receive these directions please note that you will be turning onto Timberline Road off of Route 32 not Cortland Road or Canaan Heights Road.

Speed Traps: Northern Route: I-270 in Montgomery County: Heavily patrolled with frequent speed traps. I-68 near Rocky Gap: Maryland State Police often clock drivers on descent going west. A state trooper often hangs out on 93 just before Scherr. New Creek and Keyser enforce speed limits very strictly.
Southern Route: Do not speed in Wardensville. Moorfield and Petersburg are notorious for speed traps. Obey posted speed limits and stop lights carefully in these two towns.
