Nordihaus If you don't ski, then we will teach you. Our ski school offers instruction in Alpine and Snowboard Skiing. Our packages include a 1 hour introductory lesson for the beginner that will include instruction in putting on your skis, taking them off, walking, stopping, turning on very gentle slopes and riding the lift. Timberline Ski School is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America

Want to take your scouts, youth group or school class on an inexpensive overnight weekend or weekday trip? Then come stay with us in one of our two bunkhouses. Get your lodging, meals, lift tickets, rentals and introductory ski lesson at an unbelievable low rate. We have packages as low as $79.00 per person. If you want something a little nicer, like a house or condo with a fireplace and hot tub, then we can help you find that too.

Don't want to stay overnight. That's okay. Bring your group and take advantage of one of our really low priced Day Packages. Our packages, Sunday thru Friday, include an all day lift ticket (from opening to closing, even if there is night skiing), regular downhill ski equipment rental and a Level 1 beginners ski lesson. Want to come on Saturday? That's great, we will build the package you need and you can still save over the main lift ticket window prices.

8/1/2008	Annual Frontier Weekend
8/1/2008- 8/2/2008 Go back in time (circa 1835) for a weekend in the old West with authentic cow camp and chuck wagon complete with all the appropriate gear. Witness a live shoot out on horse back just behind Timberline Ski Lodge! Also enjoy trail rides, barbecue, square dancing, old western and mountain music live by the Saddle Tramps. Scenic chairlift rides Saturday and Sunday. Wear your western clothes and enjoy the events. There is no cover charge. Call early for reservations in the onsite hotel. Timbers Lodge features upscale rooms with scenic decks, two queen sized beds, plasma TV’s. Whirlpool spas available in some rooms. Stay for the entire Frontier weekend including the late night menu and entertainment.

8/15/2008- 8/16/2008 Paul Koontz production with motor bike races and ATV races. Special events for all participants and visitors alike including food and entertainment. 8/29/2008	Annual Labor Day Weekend Celebration
8/29/2008- 9/1/2008 Live entertainment at 9pm on Aug 29th, and September 1st in the Fireside Grill and Timbers Pub. Scenic chairlift operational August30th, 31st and September 1st 10am until 5pm. Mountain Bike Center and Timberline Stables open daily. There is a full menu in Timberline’s Fireside Grill daily. James Michel Woodyard will be performing Friday and Sunday evening. Saturday evening at 9 pm Laurel Creek Chicken Pickers will be performing. No charge for the live entertainment. Call early for Timbers Lodge room reservations for this long weekend.
9/26/2008	Autumn Festival
9/26/2008- 9/28/2008 Timberline's Autumn Festival. There will be free live entertainment Friday and Saturday evening. Seafood special Friday night and award winning rib specials Saturday night. Enjoy the autumn mountain scenery and all of its colors from the Timberline scenic chair lift. Chair lift is operational Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. 9/27/2008	Timberline "Double Down" DH Race
9/27/2008- 9/28/2008 Timberline is proud of its newly expanded downhill biking terrain, which has been enthusiastically received by bikers this summer. The Revenge of the Rattlesnake & Timberline "Double Down" DH Mountain Bike race, will be held the weekend of Sept. 27th-28th. The Revenge of the Rattlesnake will begin at Timberline on Saturday Sept. 28th and end in downtown Davis at Blackwater Bikes. The "Double Down" DH Race is a 2 run event on Sunday Sept. 28th at Timberline. This race consists of 2 different courses with 1 run on each course. Registration will start at 9am and the race will begin at 12pm. Entry fee is $45 and includes all day lift access, insurance, and WVMBA 1 day membership. 9/28/2008- 9/29/2008 This two day personal growth workshop led by Dr. Vaugh Michael and sponsored by Timberline Four Seasons resort and Conference Center will include coping during times of stress, daily living, personal loss, meditating and relaxing skills, personal illness and self talk. Dr. Michael is director of Pastoral Care West Virginia University Hospital, Fellow in College of Chaplins and PSIA Ski Instructor at Timberline.

10/10/2008	Octoberfest Bavarian Style Weekend Celebration
10/10/2008- 10/12/2008 Oktoberfest Bavarian Style Weekend Celebration. This weekend features German food and music at the Timberline Fireside Grill and Timbers Pub. A full menu is also available. Live entertainment from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights. There is no cover charge. Scenic chairlift operational to the mountain summit to 4,268 feet depending on the weather. Mountain Bike Shop open daily. Bikes can be secured to the lift chair for high altitude mountain biking. Timberline stables are open daily.

10/31/2008- 11/2/2008 Timberline’s Halloween Celebration. Live entertainment Friday and Saturday nights. Grill and Pub open daily with seafood special Friday night and rib special Saturday night and pumpkin pie for dessert. The highlight of the weekend will be the famous annual Halloween Masquerade Party 9 pm, Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 with judges and prizes. There is no cover charge. Mountain Bike Shop and Stables are open daily. Scenic Chairlift rides are available Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. depending on the weather.
11/23/2008	Hunter's Evening Celebration
11/23/2008- 11/26/2008 Timberline’s Hunter’s Evening Celebration. These evening dinners by the lodge’s fireplace are especially for hunters but also for the friends of Timberline. The Fireside Grill will serve a Wild Game Special each evening from 5 pm – 9 pm. Later join our Timberline family in front of the blazing fireplace at the Timbers Pub to talk over the day’s adventures.
11/27/2008	Thanksgiving Weekend Celebration
11/27/2008- 11/30/2008 Thanksgiving Weekend Celebration. Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace blazing every night in the Fireside Grill. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served Thanksgiving Day from 1 pm to 7 pm at the Fireside Grill. There will be live entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Full menu daily. Friday night seafood special and Saturday night all you can eat award winning barbeque ribs.
