I Home.

Lots of things going on at Timberline. Besides getting ready for an Epic winter here are some happenings on the mountain. Click each item for more info.
Timberline has now been granted permanent access to water for snowmaking from the Blackwater River. Together with water from Spruce Island Lake, the dual water supply gives adequate water to supply the recently installed new guns and, importantly, assures water for expansion of the ski area.
The recently widened trail will now have significantly improved night lighting due to newly installed lighting.
Timberline Resort Hotel and Suites will soon celebrate a grand opening. The upscale hotel, slope front on Winterset Trail, features spacious rooms, queen sized beds, flat screen TV’s, air conditioning, family suites, and Jacuzzi style tubs. The hotel has a fitness room and large meeting room. Please visit our site soon for the date of the grand opening.
The Junior Race Team is completing construction of a dedicated building at Timberline near Winterset Trail. The building will serve as headquarters for the race team. Timberline is proud to participate in this project and of the achievements of their young people who have already gained significant recognition in the ski world.
Another unique feature of Timberline is its glade skiing terrain. Over the past two summers significant expansions and improvement in glade skiing areas has been done.
Major expansion and improvements have been completed on Herz Mountain. Increased recognition of the outstanding biking terrain is a result of many more superior trails, on the mountain pump track, capability of bike attaching to the scenic chair lift and a newly constructed bicycle ramp on one of the trails.
Winterhaven slope front home rentals. New homes are coming on to the Timberline Resort rental program.
Ski and Stay Packages are available through our Vacation Planning Department including Timberline Resort Hotel and Suites lodging.
Timberline has been named “Regions Favorite Ski Area” by a poll of readers of Elkins Intermountain newspaper. This is the 4th consecutive year that Timberline has received this honor.
